Larkspur Elementary School

Welcome to Larkspur Elementary School

It is a privilege for me to serve as your principal. Our school is made up of an incredible group of staff, students, and families who work together as a team to achieve excellence. Larkspur has an outstanding reputation for providing students with a high-quality education. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with you to support all of our children's academic, emotional, and social goals!

A little about myself...

I was born in Phoenix and have lived here my entire life. I attended school in the Washington Elementary School District and graduated from Cortez High School. I attended the University of Arizona (Go CATS!), and graduated from Arizona State University in 1996 with my degree in Elementary Education. I later earned my Masters from NAU and my administrative certificate from University of Phoenix. I began my teaching career in the PVSchools District in 1997 and have had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, second grade, fifth grade, and ESL during my years in the classroom. I was the assistant principal at Wildfire Elementary School during the 2008-2009 school year and moved to Liberty in January 2012 as the assistant principal. I served as the principal of Liberty Elementary School from August 2012 to May 2016. I joined the Larkspur staff as the principal during the 2016-2017 school year, and I love coming to school each day to spend time with our wonderful students and staff! It has been an exciting adventure since I entered the PVSchools District and I have truly enjoyed every moment with all of my children!

I married my high school sweetheart in 1996, and we have two wonderful children. Our daughter currently attends ASU and is studying to become a teacher. Our son is currently a senior DVUSD and will attend ASU in the Fall.  When we have free time we enjoy vacationing, going to the movies, and hanging out by the pool.

Please feel free to call, email, or stop by if you have questions or would like to introduce yourself.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
