Curriculum

Larkspur Elementary is dedicated to empowering students with the essential skills they need to thrive in the 21st century. It follows the Arizona State Common Core Standard Practices and focuses on fostering collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in all students.

The Accelerated Reader program is an integral part of the literacy program, encouraging students to read books at their independent level and take online comprehension quizzes for immediate feedback.

The commitment to student success extends beyond the classroom. Each month, grade-level teams meet to monitor academic progress and provide targeted strategies for enrichment or intervention. Larkspur offers small group settings to students who need help in reading or math, ensuring that every student has the support they need to succeed.

The mission of the Curriculum Department is to increase student achievement through the provision of systemic innovative curricula characterized by standards and research-based educational programs that deliver effective and differentiated instruction in partnership with schools, families, and the diverse PVSchools community.

In PVSchools, we engage, inspire, and nurture students through high-quality instruction, meaningful educational opportunities, and dynamic learning experiences. Curriculum, adhering to Arizona state standards, is adopted transparently with opportunities for community feedback.
